The BC High School Provincial Curling Championships rotate between regions every year. They are usually held in the first or second week in March. One team of boys and one team of girls from each region participates in the championships. All students must be from the same school, or feeder school (see BC School Sports rules). Play is conducted using CCA (Canadian Curling Association) rules.

The Championship is in form of a round robin; teams play seven games of eight ends each (new as of 2011). There are no playoffs; however, in the event of a tie, there will be a tie-breaking game held to decide first or second place. To decide third and fourth, there will be a throw to the button by each player on the team, with total inches from button added up. This will take place after the last draw on Saturday, if necessary.

First and second place teams receive a trophy; third place teams will receive a "3rd place" patch. All players receive a "regional winner" patch. These are given out at the banquet, held on Saturday night.

Most sportsmanlike award: This prestigious award is announced by Mr. Williams on Saturday at the banquet. Each team votes for the team they felt was most sportsmanlike.

Our generous sponsor is RioTintoAlcan, who has sponsored high school curling since 1978.
